App UI is not readable when desktop is in light mode and some elements are distorted.

This happens on current Fedora 44, gnome50 desktop and the desktop set to light mode. See screenshot for details.
Best would be a user selectable "use dark mode/use light mode/use system default" like in many other apps.

additionally, looking at the right top switch it looks as if it is distorted (too tall) from it's normal standard looks.
