Problem Statement

follow up to

which seems only partially addressed

Proposed Solution

first -- thank you for taking care about that issue!

there was a release 0.7.4 and zenodo record was not minted I think -- at least I do not find it

https://zenodo.org/search?q=spec%20kit%200.7.4&f=publication_date%3A2025-10-21..2026-04-21&l=list&p=1&s=10&sort=bestmatch

reasons could be

  • repository was not linked to zenodo by some authorized owner (or contributor? dunno) of the repo
  • there was a problem with provided .zenodo.json and/or CITATION.cff -- it should be visible somewhere among https://zenodo.org/me/uploads?q=&f=shared_with_me%3Afalse&l=list&p=1&s=10&sort=newest or somewhere there on dashboard -- where if file is not following the schema, release on zenodo would fail
    • that is partially why I usually just link and release first to see if zenodo picks up at all, and then provide a custom metadata file
