What broke

  • All CI checks (Run Tests, E2E Tests, Web CLI E2E Tests): pnpm install --frozen-lockfile failed because pnpm-lock.yaml specifiers didn't match examples/web-cli/package.json after Dependabot bumped the manifest. This was a lockfile sync issue — no code changes were needed.

What was fixed

  • pnpm-lock.yaml regenerated to reflect the updated specifiers in examples/web-cli/package.json (commit cd15d68). No source code changes were required.

Verification

  • Build: ✅ (pnpm prepare succeeds)
  • Lint: ✅ (pnpm exec eslint . — 0 errors, 7 pre-existing warnings)
  • Unit tests: ✅ (178 test files, 2417 tests passing)
  • Web CLI tests: ✅ (@ably/react-web-cli — 4 test files, 57 tests passing)
  • CI test check: ✅ now passing
  • CI setup check: ✅ now passing

Notes for reviewer

  • The packages/react-web-cli package still pins lucide-react at ^1.8.0 — that's intentional (separate package, separate bump). No action needed.
  • session-tests and e2e-cli were still pending at time of writing; they were failing only due to the lockfile mismatch, which is now resolved.
